Count your blessings: How many are they?

Though asking about ones relationship with God is a personal and individual subject, however we cannot deny the fact that there’s a Supreme Being who rules in the affairs of men and under whose mercies we all draw the grace of being alive.

Indeed, if not for God’s mercies, things could have been worse!

…. The old song, ‘Count your blessing, name them one by one’ is evergreen. Indeed, life offers us some daily blessing that we should be grateful and thankful to God for.

I don’t know about you, but I have had turns, twists, bends, contours, limitations, challenges, hindrances, obstacles, obstacles, threats, depressing times, disappointments and downtimes.

However, in all, I also acknowledge that I have experienced triumphs, victories, prosperity, grace, favours, health, family, joys and peace, ETC.

I am counting my blessings, and I am glad! What about you?

Closing line: “Thank God for what you have, trust God for what you need”.

Shalom!

… Of choices and decisions

“Life is all about making choices, so always do your best to make the right ones, and always do your best to learn from the wrong ones.”

Though I’m not sure who made the above quote, but I find it instructive.

On the face value, it’s just too simple! Who doesn’t know that life is a matter of choice? We all make decisions everyday; some good, some not too good and some really bad, and so what?

However, let’s reflect:

Are there some wrong choices or wrong decisions that have been made in the past? Or is there a wrong decision that has been recently made or that you are about to make?

Okay, let’s move from the past and focus on the future. In terms of things to come; what decisions do you need to make? What decision do you need to make to be optimally productive?

…. Reflecting:

  • Are there decisions to make about an education & career advancement?
  • Are there decisions to make about relationships & family value issues?
  • Are there decisions to make about career & professionalism pursuit?
  • Are there decisions to make about business investments?
  • Are there decisions to make about service to God and faithful living?
  • Are there decisions to make about entrepreneurial, vocational and/or skill acquisitions, and other important issues?

It doesn’t really matter much how wrong we might have been in our choices or decisions, what really matters is what can be done to correct such.

… Indeed, we might have made some very terrible decisions in the past, but rather than regretting and allowing the consequences of those wrong decisions or wrong choices to continually haunt us, we should brace up and see what can be done in correcting the wrong decisions or mitigating the consequences to chart a path for a better future!

Though my perspectives may be limited, as the consequences of some wrong decisions can not be upturned, nevertheless, an attempt at making things right may mean something to someone. Whichever, let’s reflect.

“Life is all about making choices, so always do your best to make the right ones, and always do your best to learn from the wrong ones.”

Ultimately, my passion is rooted in my unwavering faith, my unwavering desire to effect meaningful change, and the unwavering belief that I possess the capacity to shape a brighter future for our global community.

Please share some bits about your background.

I am Godwin Aigboviose Omage, hailing from a family of 13 siblings. I was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Aperi Omage, with my father being a farmer and retired civil servant. Alongside my entrepreneurial pursuits, I am the founder of Love Lead Outreach Ministries and Community of Believers Empowerment International Mission (COBEIM). These organizations focus on empowering individuals and making a positive impact in our communities.

As the founder of Eki Digital Multipurpose Company Limited, my vision is to provide human services through various avenues such as production, services, and representation. One of my ambitious projects is the development of “The Win City,” a digital city located on 2000 hectares of land. This innovative hub will serve as a breeding ground for creativity and cutting-edge ideas with global implications. The Win City will encompass diverse features, including a Solar Greenhouses Farm, as well as other activities designed to attract tourists.

There are so many young people struggling to attain certain levels of success. What’s your advice for making headway in life?

My advice to young people striving for success is to focus on building their capacity to handle the challenges that lie ahead. It is through overcoming these challenges that victory is achieved. In addition to building capacity, it is crucial to pray and seek uncommon ideas. Tap into your spiritual beliefs and seek guidance from God. Expand your thinking and explore innovative solutions to the problems you encounter. Uncommon ideas often lead to breakthroughs and open new doors of opportunity.

Remember that your present circumstances does not define your future. Your current situation is merely a construction site on the path to your destination, and it is not the final conclusion. Keep your eyes focused on your long-term goals and remain committed to your journey. Success requires patience, resilience, and a steadfast belief in your abilities.
So, my advice is to build your capacity, be ready to embrace challenges (plenty of it), seek uncommon ideas, and understand that your present condition is a stepping stone towards your desired destination. With determination, faith, and a willingness to persevere, you can make significant headway in life and achieve the success you aspire to.

How do you overcome difficult situations and challenges?
Overcoming difficult situations and challenges is an ongoing journey for me. I consider myself a student in the School of Life, constantly learning and growing. There are times when it can feel overwhelming, but I have developed strategies to navigate through those tough times.
One of the key practices I follow is to pray and seek guidance from God. Connecting with my spirituality brings me peace and clarity, enabling me to face challenges with a strengthened mindset.
Additionally, I believe in the power of having fun and maintaining a balanced life. Engaging in activities that bring me joy and relaxation helps me rejuvenate and approach difficult situations with a refreshed perspective.
Another source of inspiration for me is reading stories of great men who have overcome their own challenges. Learning about their journeys and the strategies they employed gives me valuable insights and motivation to tackle my own obstacles.
I also find solace in revisiting my 20-year business plan, which serves as a reminder of my long-term vision and goals. It provides me with inspiration and reminds me of the purpose behind my endeavours.
I won’t sugarcoat it; overcoming challenges is not easy. It requires perseverance, resilience, and a willingness to adapt. But through prayer, seeking inspiration, finding joy, and staying focused on my long-term vision, I am able to navigate through difficult situations and emerge stronger. It’s an ongoing process for me, and I have embraced the journey with all its ups and downs.

What other things are you involved in; in what other ways are you impacting lives or society?
I am committed to making a difference in the lives of others and contributing to society in various ways. In addition to the initiatives and projects I mentioned earlier, I am also actively involved in various other endeavours that aim at making a positive impact on society and the lives of individuals.
One notable aspect is our openness to partnerships. We believe that collaboration is key to achieving significant and lasting transformation. Together, we can develop innovative solutions, implement sustainable practices, and empower communities. Through collaboration, we can amplify our efforts and bring about meaningful change on a global scale.
If you or your organization are interested in partnering with us or exploring opportunities for collaboration, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can create a brighter future and make a profound difference in the lives of people and the world we live in.

YOUR LIFE IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR PRIORITIES

… What you didn’t prioritised to be achieved cannot be achieved.

Each year starts with the first date and soon, the days rolled into weeks and the weeks into months.

As the days in January rolls into weeks, it’s soon April, then September and December comes to signal the end of another year. In conducting a self-assessment, we try and track our progress and we reflect to consider what actions were taken and we sometimes are at a loss and wonder what went wrong.

What were we supposed to do that we didn’t do; which actions were supposed to have been taken that was not taken, and what part of the aspirations and desires of the year was not accomplished that should have been accomplished.

THE FACT of it is that what we achieve is an indication of what we made a priority. What we didn’t achieved, was not well pursued to be achieved!

So we could be limited due to some really good reasons and we could give ourselves reasons to justify our inability, but excuses robs us of the benefit and joy of success. According to an anonymous quote:“Success occurs when your dreams get bigger than your excuses.”

Achieving our dreams is embedded on the priority we attach to it. Stephen R. Covey said, “Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.”

Whatever is important would be a priority, and though there may be no time, it becomes a priority because it is important.

So what are those things that should be achieved? You decide if it’s IMPORTANT.

You may refuse it;

Accept it;

Justify it;

Explain it;

Argue it;

Give an excuse for it;

Blame somebody for it;

Blame something for it.

You may say it’s your lack of skills;

Lack of information;

Lack of encouragement;

A financial challenge;

A health challenge;

An economic challenge;

A social challenge;

An environmental challenge;

A family challenge;

Or an educational challenge, ETC.

…. Whatever you like, call it.

THE FACT REMAINS THE FACT; your life is a reflection of your priority. What you didn’t achieve was not well prioritised to be achieved.

So WAKE UP and take the needed action to make your dreams and aspirations a reality.

Think about it!

AIM. REVIEW. REFOCUS. PUSH IN. PRESS IN. REACH OUT. STEP OUT. LEAP. TAKE THE RISK. WRITE IT. PUBLISH IT. PRIORITISE IT. ACHIEVE IT.

Whatever you desire to achieve is your own drive. Make it a priority to achieve it.

Whatever you need, GO GET IT.

… Just thoughts from my heart.
